About PXG card grading

What professional trading card grading services does PXG provide?
PXG provides professional trading card authentication, condition grading and protective encapsulation. Each eligible card is evaluated using published criteria that include centering, corners, edges, surface quality, eye appeal and overall presentation.
Choose a 5-, 10-, 25- or 100-card grading package, complete the secure checkout form and upload clear front-and-back images of every card. After successful payment, download the prepaid USPS label and securely ship your cards to PXG.
No. Guest checkout is available. You must provide an accurate email address and shipping address so PXG can process your submission and return your graded cards.
Yes. Clear front-and-back images of every card are required during checkout. These images help PXG document and organize your submission before the physical cards arrive.

How much does PXG card grading cost?

PXG offers four professional card grading packages:

  • 5 cards: $95 — $19 per card
  • 10 cards: $180 — $18 per card
  • 25 cards: $400 — $16 per card
  • 100 cards: $1,500 — $15 per card

A $10 shipping charge provides the prepaid USPS label used to send your cards to PXG. PXG covers return shipping.

Choose the package that matches the exact number of cards you plan to submit: 5, 10, 25 or 100 cards. The price per card decreases with larger packages, from $19 per card in the 5-card package to $15 per card in the 100-card package.

What does the $10 shipping fee cover?
The $10 shipping fee covers the prepaid USPS label used to send your cards to PXG. This is the inbound shipping charge. PXG covers the cost of shipping your graded cards back to the address provided during checkout.
After successful payment, the order-confirmation page displays the option to download your prepaid USPS shipping label. Print the label and attach it securely to the package containing your cards.
Protect each card with a suitable sleeve and card holder, arrange the cards securely and place them in a sturdy shipping box. Add protective packing material so the cards cannot move freely during transit, then attach the prepaid USPS label.
Yes. You pay $10 for the prepaid inbound USPS label used to send your cards to PXG. PXG covers the cost of returning your graded cards to the shipping address entered during checkout.

How your cards are evaluated

How does PXG determine a trading card’s grade?
PXG evaluates the card’s centering, corners, edges, surface quality, eye appeal and overall presentation. The final grade is based on the condition observed during the professional evaluation.
The PXG Grading Standards page explains the grading scale and the criteria used to evaluate trading cards. We encourage collectors to review these standards before submitting cards.
Grading time can vary depending on submission volume and the number of cards in an order. Please contact PXG before submitting if you need the current estimated turnaround time.
PXG matches the physical cards with your order information, evaluates each eligible card according to its grading standards, assigns the appropriate grade and completes protective encapsulation before preparing the cards for return delivery.
Professional card grading provides an independent assessment of a card’s condition and helps protect it through encapsulation. A clearly identified grade can also make a card easier to document, display, preserve and confidently discuss with other collectors.
